Licensing Basics

Lyrics by Julie A. Shannon (Hollis Grey) are available for licensing. Demo recordings use AI-assisted production #Suno for pitching and reference only and are not cleared for reuse. Final recordings must be newly produced by licensed human performers unless otherwise agreed in writing.

Sync & Music Supervisor Notes

Hollis Grey songs are lyrics-first works available for sync placement through newly recorded productions.

  • Lyrics and songwriting rights are licensable.
  • Demo recordings are reference-only and not licensed as masters.
  • Final sync placements require new recordings using cleared musicians and vocalists.

Rights & Licensing Availability

Lyrics and songwriting rights may be licensed for:

  • Artist recordings
  • Sync placements (TV, film, advertising, games)
  • Cover versions or derivative works
  • Publishing or songwriting collaborations

No rights are granted without a separate written license agreement.
Demo recordings are reference-only and not licensed for reuse unless explicitly stated in writing.

Why?

This is not new or unique to AI.  My Suno demos function exactly the same as the music industry does, just with AI as the demo performer.
